Coakley Middle School Receives Bomb Threat
Students were evacuated during a search of the school.

NORWOOD, MA - A middle school in Norwood was the latest school to receive an automated bomb threat.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Norwood Public Schools received a robo call of a non-specific bomb threat to the Coakley Middle School.
The Norwood Police and Fire Department were immediately notified and reported to the building. As a precaution, the building was evacuated and searched, according to a statement on the school district's website.

"These calls have been received in 20 other states since Monday and our response has been guided by this information and training we have received through the State Police Bomb Squad," the statement read.
After the threat was cleared, the school day went on as planned.
