Meet 'Famous' Walpole 9-Year-Old Humane Society Volunteer at Petco
Meet NVHS Volunteers at Petco Pet Halloween Contest.

On Saturday, October 27 from 2-3:30 p.m. PETCO will be holding a Halloween contest for pets at the Norwood, Mass. location. Join us there to meet Cynthia, a local Walpole resident, and volunteers of the Neponset Valley Humane Society who rescued the kittens featured on the current bag of Purina Kitten Chow.
Neponset Valley Humane Society foster kittens were selected for the cover picture of Purina Kitten Chow. Cynthia, a 9-year-old Walpole resident, and her family were fostering the kittens. Purina did photo shoots at homes all across the country and this local group was selected as the winner. NVHS is excited the bag displays an example of the many beautiful kittens and cats waiting patiently in foster homes for their forever home.
At the PETCO event Cynthia and the cats will say “hello” and inform visitors about what it means to be a foster family for a rescued pet and the work of the Neponset Valley Humane Society.

NVHS is an all-volunteer organization that relies on foster homes for the many homeless cats and kittens found wandering the streets. While many cats become feral with no human interaction, hundreds like the ones on the current Purina bag simply need a warm and loving home in order to become fully socialized domestic pets. Please consider being a foster home, or adopting a shelter cat or kitten.
Neponset Valley Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization working to spay, neuter and house abandoned and abused animals.
