Pet of the Week - Neponset Valley Humane Society
Chinese Crested Dogs are considered lap dogs and sensitive companions.
Pinky and Junior are two very friendly and well-mannered Chinese Crested dogs. Pinky is the hairless variety. Except for a few tufts of hair around his head, legs and tail, his body is soft, delicate skin that needs to be protected from both hot and cold weather. Junior is the powder puff variety and he has a long straight coat that requires regular grooming. Both dogs are accustomed to and enjoy "getting dressed" for their daily walks. They have been loved and they are friendly and affectionate. Pinky is about 8 months old. He is deaf but responds to hand signals. Junior is almost 2 years old. They have lived together and get along well and so we are hoping to find a home where they can stay together. The Chinese Crested breed is described as a fine-boned, elegant toy dog that craves human companionship. This breed is often recommended for people with allergies. The dogs have been much loved but sadly their owners are no longer able to care for them due to difficult personal circumstances. Please call Neponset Valley Humane Society at 781 769 1990 or email nvhumanesociety@gmail.com for more information about Junior and Pinky.
