Pet of the Week - Neponset Valley Humane Society
Smudgey and Riley would love a home with a cat-friendly dog.
Smudgey and Riley are two very gentle, lovable young boys. Smudgey is the tabby and white cat who is about one year old. Riley is the brown tabby and he is about five months old. These two formerly stray cats became fast friends in their foster home and so we are in search of a home where these two pals can stay together. If you have a dog who likes cats, Smudgey and Riley would especially love to meet you. They are great with the Lab-size dog in their foster home and love cuddling up with her. Smudgey and Riley are playful and affectionate with adults and children once they get to know you. They are shy with new people and so they will do best in a somewhat quiet home. Please call Neponset Valley Humane Society at 781-769-1990 or email nvhumanesociety@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with Smudgey and Riley. Due to the severe cat overpopulation problem and in an effort to encourage lifelong adoptions, NVHS does not have set adoption fees for our adult cats. Every cat is of course spayed/neutered.
Other Humane Society News: NVHS volunteers are thankful to the many adopters helping pets in need. Millions of pets lose their lives in overcrowded shelters simply due to overpopulation. We can prevent this tragedy through responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter. If you need assistance getting your cat spayed/neutered, please contact NVHS. The low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats will be in Norwood on Wednesday, Feb. 13, call for an appointment. You can see all our pets waiting to be adopted at neponsethumane.org. NVHS is an all volunteer, all foster care organization.
