The New Year is the perfect time to start fresh.  Setting goals, planning a healthier you, making the most of weekends and meeting new people. That’s why Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine has launched the Marathon Endurance Club. You’re opportunity to start 2013 right.

Training with the MEC allows you to be better equipped to achieve your fitness goals by breaking down your training month by month while providing you training plans, coaching, a fun community to train with and complimentary Marathon services which include massage and functional movement screens. The month breakdown is as follows:

  • February: 30/30 Challenge for base fitness
  • March: Learn to Run Program and the start of group training for the Boston Run to Remember
  • April: Exploration of new training sites and cross training classes/group runs at Marathon locations
  • May: Two club races- Marathon Physical Therapy 5k in Norwood to support Matt Brown and the NHS XC Team, and the Run to Remember in Boston

About the Marathon Endurance Club

The Marathon Endurance Club (MEC) has been organized to complement Marathon Physical Therapy and Sport Medicine’s services to the endurance population by building a community through endurance sports, providing fundamental injury prevention and training program design, and encouraging participation in group training and racing around Greater Boston.

The MEC will feature many great services provided by the diverse staff of healthcare providers at each Marathon location.  Members will have access to physical therapists, massage therapists, yoga and pilates instructors, strength and conditioning specialists, performance enhancement specialists, exercise physiologists, and athletic trainers.  Training plans and coaching will be provided by USAT Certified Triathlon Coaches.  Group workouts will be led by experienced leaders with a strong understanding of training and racing.
