A majestic new high school will take its place.
Lots of people might like the chance to grab a little history by taking one of the old bricks and bringing it home. This should not be a huge effort. Just have a spot near the demolition site where people can pick up a brick. School Committee could decide to charge a dollar or $5.

If the bricks are headed for some other project in town, the School Committe could have some bricks engraved with donaters names.
It ought to be at least discussed.

This might bring in a little money. But that is not the real objective. The real idea is to do something for the townspeople. That is the actual purpose of such a program. That is the reason for any town activity, to enhance the town and serves the populace.

New Norwood High School will take its place and give the town a far better school building.
Some people will be sentimental; some would like to take a piece of Old Norwood High School home with them.
Let them: they could get a commemorative brick from the old building easily. All it would take is a guy from the demolition team to fill up some wheel barrows of bricks and bring them to a designated drop spot.
School Committe could charge money for the bricks. They could ask for $1 or even $5.
What if the bricks are to be used in some other project?
