About 11/2hr drive from Norwood is one of the prettiest lighthouses in New England. If your shopping in Kittery or just want a nice drive, head up Rt.1 in Maine towards York. Bear right to York Beach, you'll see the lighthouse on the point on your right. After the beach turn right up the hill.(follow signs to lighthouse) The lighthouse is also known as Nubble Light and sits on a small island about 50 yds. off shore. There is a parking lot there which on weekends fill up, but people come and go all day long, you won't wait long for a spot. It is beautiful from sunrise to sunset. Worth the trip. If you want a nice treat, turn right out of parking lot and about 100yds down the road is Browns Ice Cream....the best!
