Chamber Challenge to Benefit Education Cooperative

Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce's Health & Wellness Alliance is sponsoring its 'Steps to Wellness' competition, kicking off April 1.

From the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce: April is Stress Awareness Month – and what better way to work off stress than to get some good, old-fashioned exercise? With that in mind, the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Health & Wellness Alliance is sponsoring its 2nd Annual ‘Steps to Wellness’ competition, kicking off April 1st.

After the popularity of last year’s Challenge, the Chamber is hoping to make this year’s event even bigger and better and hopes to attract even more teams from local business to compete. Teams are comprised of five people, and individuals will be teamed up with others to form a full team. The team with the most steps over the 30-day period will win a cash prize, with a Lunch & Learn/Awards Ceremony in May scheduled at the Bank of Canton.

Gear bags will be distributed to the first 150 registrants, including a Steps Challenge t-shirt, to be picked up at the Chamber on March 23. Additionally, throughout the month-long competition, participants will receive Challenge step updates and wellness tips to keep them motivated.
