Christmas Eve Family Service at Grace Episcopal

Gospel Music and a Newly Restored Pipe Organ fills the Christmas Celebration at Grace Episcopal Church

The Christmas Eve Family service at Grace Episcopal Church is a warm, inviting service for all ages - filled with music and tradition.  And this year Grace Episcopal is fortunate to welcome wonderful Gospel music sun by guest soloist Jermaine Tulloch and members of the Grace Choir at the 6 p.m. Christmas Eve service.  Tulloch attended the Longy Conservatory of Music and is active in the Boston theater scene, performing in the Boston premiere of the opera Treemonisha and Into the Woods.  He also toured with the Harlem Gospel Choir.  Currently he has a lead singing role in the production of The Black Nativity presented at the Paramount Theater in Boston.

Also hear music played on the newly renovated George S. Hutchings tracker organ built in 1897 for a Grace Church in South Boston.  In 1973 the organ was installed in Grace Episcopal Church after being rebuilt and enlarged by the Philip A. Beaudry Company of Somerville.  Much needed repairs were required after years of yielding beautiful music, and through the determination of Grace’s Music Directress Paula King and the financial help by one generous donor of the church, these renovations have been completed before the Christmas season.  What a wonderfulj gift the church and community has received.j  The community is invited to attend Christmas Holy Eucharist services at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and a Christmas morning at 10:00 a.m.  The church is located at 150 Chapel Street.
