Coach's Brief: Norwood Swim and Dive at State Meet

A note from the swim and dive coach on the team's performance at the state meet.

From Coach Kim Goodwin

We swam really well. We were one of the smallest teams there because we had to go Div. I because of our mixed gender status.

The official results aren't posted yet but I believe we got 11th or 12th out of 26 teams. We thought our fastest swimming was last week at sectionals but four more team records were lowered and just about everyone swam personable best times.

The three relays (200 Medley Relay - Patricia Lee, Eddie Hernon, Alexandra Metta, and Charlotte Rivard; 200 free relay - Hernon, Evelyn Metta, Anthony Rodriguez, and Jimmy Conley; and 400 free relay - Lee, Rodriguez, E. Metta and Conley) all placed in top ten with the last relay lowering the record broken last week.

Patricia Lee and Eddie Hernon had phenomenal meets, each swimming best times, scoring points and lowering their own school records. In addition, Patricia Lee broke the 200 freestyle record held by Molly Shilo (2009).
