Diversity, Experience Praised in Superintendent Search Committee

The group had their orientation meeting this week.

NORWOOD, MA — The 13-person committee created to help pick Norwood's next top school official is being described as one that covers all the bases.

In an update at a recent Norwood School Committee meeting, committee member Lisa Igoe said she feels like they've selected a diverse group of individuals

"They will share their expertise with the group. We have members with strong leadership, communication, and finance skills," Igoe said.

She added that the committee includes government officials, members with experience in recruiting and executive hiring, HR experience, and members of the education field.

The group met this week, holding an orientation meeting.
