Suspect In Norwood Break In Found With Credit Cards, GPS: Cops

Police are asking for witness reports and any home surveillance video that may have caught the break-ins.

NORWOOD, MA — One person faces charges related to a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Marvin Charles, 24, of Randolph, pleaded not guilty in Dedham District Court Wednesday to receiving stolen property worth more than $250, two counts of receiving stolen property worth less than $250, and eight counts of receiving stolen credit cards. He was ordered held on $300 cash bail.

At 3:38 a.m. early Wednesday morning, a caller told police that she saw three men flee down Norton Drive. Charles was found near the scene with several items that appeared to be stolen, including eight credit cards, according to police.

Police say the vehicle break-ins took place on Norton Drive, Cranmore Road, and Richland Road between 3-4 a.m. All the vehicles were unlocked.

Officer Kevin Grasso told Norwood Patch that the items that were stolen ranged from loose change, GPS devices, keys and other small items. Some of the items that were stolen have been identified and returned to the victims.

Charles is due back in court April 9 for a pre-trial hearing.
