The donation is part of Curt Schilling's Operation Bullpen

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood's local car magnate is giving a large donation to Curt Schilling's drive to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Ernie Boch Jr. told the Boston Herald that he is giving the former Red Sox pitcher's charity effort $100,000. He told the newspaper that he wants to make sure his contribution "gets directly to the people who need it without someone taking a piece of it."

From noon Wednesday until Aug. 31, Shilling will have a large black trailer parked in front of the Medfield Shaws as part of Operation Bullpen. He will be accepting unopened non-perishables, clothing, life vests, medical supplies and sanitary items.
