Juvenile Charged In Norwood Halloween Hit-And-Run

NORWOOD, MA — A juvenile has been charged in a hit-and-run that took place on Halloween.

At about 7 p.m. Tuesday night, a vehicle rear ended another vehicle on Pendergadst Circle and proceeded to drive off, according to the Norwood Police Department. The vehicle was described as a light colored Buick Regal with front end damage.

Police say they have located the driver of the vehicle. The operator, identified as a juvenile man, has been charged with leaving the scene of a property damage collision and reckless operation. A request has also been filed with the registry of motor vehicles that they suspend his license as an immediate threat.

No other information was released. Due to the suspect's age, it is likely that the case will be handled in the juvenile court system, where hearings are usually not open to the public.
