K9 Unit Finds Norwood Man Who Feld Drunken Driving Crash: Police
Police say Adam Cobb ran a stop sign and cut off an ambulance before allegedly crashing his mother's car.

NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood man was arrested Thursday night after crashing his mother's car and trying to run away while drunk, police said.
Adam J. Cobb, 28, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop for police, negligent operation, leaving the scene of a crash, driving on a suspended license, speeding and marked lanes violation, according to the Norwood Police Department.
Police first noticed Cobb when an officer observed a vehicle allegedly run a stop sign, cut off an ambulance, and pull into the McDonald's drive through on Broadway. After an officer activated his blue lights, Cobb's vehicle allegedly took off down Broadway towards Norwood Hospital at high speed. Police lost sight of the fleeing car but the vehicle was located a few minutes later after it allegedly crashed into a pole by the emergency entrance to the hospital.

Cobb then allegedly fled the scene, prompting a search by Norwood police and a Westwood police K9 unit. The suspect was found shortly afterwards and taken into custody.
Cobb was scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court Friday.
