At Least A Dozen Apply for Norwood Superintendent Position
That number could double by Friday's deadline.

NORWOOD, MA — It's almost deadline time for anyone interested in becoming Norwood's next superintendent of schools.
The application period for the opening is set to close Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. School committee member Michele Eysie Mullen, who sits on the Superintendent Search Committee, said Wednesday night that the Massachusetts Association of School Committees has received about a dozen applications, with another dozen possible by the deadline. The group tabbed with helping find the next head of schools will know by 4:30 p.m. who the applicants are.
The committee remains on schedule to select semi-finalists at their Jan. 19 meeting. Those selected to interview will have an opportunity to know the questions ahead of time. Committee member Lisa Igoe said interview questions discussed during open session will be posted online and candidates may seek them out if they want to. According to the state’s Attorney General’s office, interview questions must be discussed in open session and cannot be used as a reason for executive session.
