Man Charged With Hitting Duck With Vehicle, Vandalism, and More: Norwood Police Log

April 18

10:24 a.m. - Daniel Callanan, 56, of Norwood, was arrested on a warrant.

8:05 p.m. - A home on Tremont Street was vandalized with spray paint.

April 19

1:19 a.m. -A 52-year-old from Norwood was arrested at the Best Western in Sharon on a warrant and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.

11:47 a.m. - Five or six kids making a firecracker-like explosion were reported at Hennessey Field on Cross Street.

3:45 p.m. - The driver of a Dodge on Short Street struck a duck while chasing it in his vehicle. The driver, Rory Marty, 56, of Foxborough, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty, use of a motor vehicle for a felony, and possession of a Class E drug.
