MBACC Hosts Story Slam: Deception
Story Slam: Deception Thursday, October 16, 6:30 pm Mother Brook Arts & Community Center

Where can you experience a plane crash in the amazon, give birth to quadruplets and get trapped inside your own sleeping bag, all from the safety of your own chair? At a story slam of course!
Come and share your own out of this world experience or listen to some outrageous true tales at the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center’s first story slam. Hosted by Andrea Lovett, co-founder of massmouth.
The theme for this slam is “deception”. Have you ever told a white lie? Or, do you lead a double life? Come and share your true five minute story for a panel of five judges and tell it in front of a full house. Rather sit back and watch the events unravel? Listeners have an opportunity to participate in storytelling games and vote in an audience choice ballot.

On the night of the slam, competitors drop their name in a hat and are chosen at random to compete against nine other tellers for prizes. There is a cash bar, free parking and complimentary appetizers provided by Summer Shack. We can’t wait to hear your story.
This slam will benefit Mother Brook Arts & Community Center. Tickets are $15.00 at the door and $10.00 on-line. www.motherbrookarts.org/story-slam
