Monthly Vintage Market To Host Outdoor Marketplace

Vintage Thymes To Bring Together Dealers and Talented Artisans in First-of-its-Kind Event at Adams Farm

Vintage Thymes today announced that it is hosting a first-of-its-kind vintage and artisan marketplace at Adams Farm in Walpole, Mass. The company and its partners, Fleurish Home and Garden and Vintage Shade of Grey, are bringing together vintage dealers and artisans in a two-day event that will feature live music, food and one-of-a-kind finds on the sweeping grounds of the 365-acre farmstead.

The Marketplace at Adams Farm will showcase more than 30 vendors selling items such as re-purposed treasures, painted furniture, up-cycled finds, candles, jewelry and handmade bags. Additionally, some of the best vintage, curated collections and junktiques will be on offer.

“We are excited to gather the finest of New England’s vintage dealers and artisans all in one beautiful location for two days of vintage shopping and treasure hunting,” said Nancy Murphy, co-owner of Vintage Thymes. “We have hand-picked the top vendors for this event and expect it to attract hundreds of collectors, buyers and lovers of all things yesteryear.”

In addition to vintage treasures, furniture-painting demonstrations will be presented daily. The marketplace will feature comfort food from Norwood, Mass.-based Le Petit Café, and will showcase a host of talented musical acts, including singer/songwriters Liz DeBiase and Jenee Halstead, local band Damian Shiner and the Displayers, guitarist/vocalist Adam Rice, and Chelsea Santos, a visual and performing artist.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a signed copy of Killer Stuff and Tons of Money by Maureen Stanton. The book offers an insider’s look into the world of flea markets, antiques and collecting. Three copies of Stanton’s book will be available for auction.

The Marketplace at Adams Farms runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm October 24 and October 25. Admission is $5.00. Kids, twelve and under, are free. Adams Farm is located at 999 North Street, Walpole, Mass. Attendees should look for the farm’s big red barn. Parking is free.

Vintage Thymes is a monthly antique market run by Westwood residents Robin Hanlon and Nancy Murphy. The only market of it’s kind in the Metro South area, Vintage Thymes offers themed shows one weekend a month. The markets feature a hip collection of vintage, shabby-chic furniture, garden and home décor, as well as treasures from Hanlon and Murphy who are known for their creative ability to breathe new life into tarnished and dusty vintage items.
