New Name Proposed For Norwood Preschool Program

NORWOOD, MA — The Norwood School Committee will consider renaming the town's preschool program at a future meeting.

On Dec. 6, the board will hold a public hearing and possible vote on naming the preschool program the Little Mustangs Preschool Academy. The hearing is required before the school committee can vote.

The name would not apply to an entire building, but rather the area where the preschool classes are located, according to school committee Chairwoman Myev Bodenhofer. The request came from Willett Early Childhood Center Principal Carolyn Robbins.

The name change would be the latest development for the preschool program. In February, the program will move from the Willett Early Childhood Center to the Savage Center.
