Norton Selectman's Work for Norwood Auto Dealer Under Investigation by Police: Report

NORWOOD, MA — The work done by an 11-year member of the Norton Board of Selectmen for a Norwood auto dealer by is the subject of a police investigation, according to a report.

Norton Selectman Chairman Timothy Giblin, who is the financial controller for the Gallery Automotive Group in Norwood, is bring investigated by the Norwood Police Department and the allegations involve the company's finances, according to a WCVB investigation.

Norton Town Manager Michael Yunits told the news station that Giblin has resigned from his post. A special election to fill his spot is scheduled for June.

Giblin, Norwood police, and the Gallery Automotive Group all had no comment.
