NORWOOD, MA — Companies are stepping up to help fight the new coronavirus. M.S. Walker, a Norwood-based wine and spirits company, has turned their Boston production facility into a hand sanitizer production site. The hand sanitizer the company is making is being donated to first responders and community members.

By Friday, the company will have donated 45,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, free-of-charge, to first responders throughout the Northeast. The first responders include police and fire departments, the Massachusetts State Police and local healthcare workers.

According to the company, the hand sanitizer formula follows WHO guidelines, using high-proof grain alcohol as a base. The hand sanitizer is produced in M.S. Walker's Boston facility and distributed from the Norwood headquarters.
