Norwood Election Season Coming: Nomination Papers, Key Dates

Voters will have plenty of decisions to make with 15 positions up for a vote on the April ballot.

NORWOOD, MA — Town election season has officially begun. Candidates running for town offices can withdraw nomination papers for the April election until Feb. 11. Per state law, candidates must get at least 50 registered Norwood voters to sign their nomination papers.

Voters will have plenty of decisions to make with 15 positions up for a vote on the April ballot. Candidates. The following positions will be on the ballot:

  • Selectmen - two positions (three-year term)
  • Moderator (one-year-term)
  • Board of Health (three-year-term)
  • School Committee - two positions (three-year-term)
  • Finance Commission - two positions (three-year-term)
  • Planning Board - one position (one-year-term to fill a vacancy), one position (five-year-term)
  • Library Trustees - two positions (three-year-term)
  • Constable (three-year-term)
  • Housing Authority - one position (one-year-term to fill a vacancy), one position (five-year-term)

As of Jan. 8, no candidates have withdrawn nomination papers.
