Norwood Elects Bishop, Howard to Board of Selectmen
The incumbents took all other races in the April 4th town election.
The Norwood Board of Selectmen will welcome Paul Bishop and Allan Howard to their midst, after Bishop captured 2,100 votes during the town election on April 4 and Howard came in just behind with 1,795 votes.
Bishop is a retired Norwood police officer and Howard a veteran of the finance commission. Joseph Welch, the third candidate and former superintendent of Public Works, received 1,564 votes.
The incumbents took the other contested races in Norwood, as incumbent to the Planning Board E. William Bamber gained 1,620 votes and another term in his seat while challenger Deborah Holmwood received 1,469 votes and Patricia Griffin Starr kept her seat on the Housing Authority with 2,312 votes. Joe Rich, Starr's challenger, took 833 votes.
