Norwood Expected to Get Hike in State Aid
The town is also expected to get more unrestricted aid.

NORWOOD, MA — The Norwood Public Schools is expected to get an increase in the amount of aid they receive from the state.
According to numbers from the proposed state budget, the town is slated to get about $6.7 million in Chapter 70 aid. That's a 4.47 percent increase over last year.
In unrestricted government aid, Norwood is expected to receive about $4.65 million, an increase of 3.9 percent when compared to the current budget.

Chapter 70 funds is state aid which is assigned for education use. Unrestricted aid can be used in any part of town government.
