Norwood High Football Team to Play Rival Dedham Twice

The Norwood High football team will be playing rival Dedham twice in the upcoming football season, and that's not the only change they will experience this.
Under the new Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association's new football playoff format, Norwood will be in Division 3 Southwest. Other teams in the division are Bishop Feehan, Hingham, Hopkinton, Medfield, Milford, Milton, North Attleboro, North Quincy, Oliver Ames, Stoughton and Walpole.
Norwood will play seven games before the new playoffs, designed to crown a state champion, will start in the first week of November. If they don't make the playofffs, they will have opponents scheduled for them;
Before the playoff start, Norwood will be home against will be Dedham on Oct. 26 for a 1 p.m. game. Then on Thanksgiving Day, Norwood  will travel to Dedham for a 10 a.m. game,.
The Mustangs will open up the season at Holliston and will host Wayland, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. before starting the Bay State League part of their schedule. They will be at Milton, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m., host Natick. Oct. 5 at 2 p.m., at Wellesley, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m., at Walpole, Oct. 18 at 7 before the first Dedham game.
