Norwood HS Football Season Starts Saturday

Norwood High School’s home opener pre-game ceremonies will be held at Norwood High School beginning at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 10.  

Representative John H. Rogers, Congressman Stephen F. Lynch, Norwood Police and Fire Color Guards, and VFW Color Guards will all participate in the ceremonies. American Idol semi-finalist and national recording artist Ayla Brown will sing the National Anthem.

Director of Norwood Veterans Teddy Mulvehill will lead everyone in a moment of silence and honoring the 10th anniversary of September 11.

"This is sure to be a spectacular venue to be remembered for quite some time. We invited the community of Norwood to join us at the school on the hill and new state of the art athletic facility as Norwood hosts Needham for a 1:00 pm kickoff," Athletic Director Brian McDonough said in a press release.

Fees are $5 at the gate, free for children and with any military ID.
