Norwood HS Principal Finalist For Braintree HS Headmaster Job
Braintree Assistant Superintendent Jim Lee announced this week that Jonathan Bourn is the lone finalist for the opening.

BRAINTREE, MA — Norwood High School's principal has emerged as the top candidate for the headmaster position at Braintree High School.
Braintree Assistant Superintendent James Lee announced this week that Jonathan Bourn is the lone finalist for the opening. A search committee received 24 applicants and interviewed six people.
Bourn was named the Norwood High School principal in 2015 and served as an assistant principal at various schools before coming to Norwood. While the lone finalist, Superintendent Frank Hackett was adamant that Bourn is not a lock for the opening.

"He is still a candidate, he is still in the process." Hackett said at Monday night's school committee meeting.
Bourn was scheduled to meet with parents and members of the Braintree High School community Wednesday night as part of a meet and greet. If he gets the position, he'll fill a position left vacant by the promotion of Lee from headmaster to assistant superintendent.

A decision is expected at a future school committee meeting, with school officials noting that the March 26 meeting will likely be too early for an announcement.
