Norwood HS Threat Was Not For Norwood, Mass., Police Assure

NORWOOD, MA — A threat made against Norwood High School was aimed at a school not in Massachusetts, police said.

Norwood Police posted on Facebook that the threat, made on social media, referred to a school in Norwood, Ohio and not the local high school. Police in Norwood, Ohio were aware of the threat and determined that there was no credible threat, police said.

"This does happen time to time when we received calls for service and discover them to be the Jurisdiction of another Norwood Police Department whether it’s in Ohio, New Jersey even North Carolina," the post read.
