Norwood Man Charged With Assault With A Knife
A Norwood man faces charges after allegedly threatening a person at a Wendy's in Natick with a knife, police said.

NATICK, MA — A Norwood man faces charges after allegedly threatening a person at a Wendy's in Natick with a knife, police said.
Jose A. Morales, 39, of Norwood, faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon. Jorge Peque, 26, of Woonsocket, face charges of larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property over $250, according to the Metrowest Daily News.
Both men were arraigned last Monday and were ordered held on $200 bail.

On July 21, police received a report of a man who stole a phone at the Wendy's on Route 135. Morale, the owner of the phone, confronted Peque, but said he did not take his phone, according to a police report.
When police arrived. Peque said Morales punched him in the face and threaten him with a knife. Two witnesses said they saw the Norwood man with a knife. Peque later admitted to taking the phone.

Both men are due back in court Aug. 30.
