Norwood Man Killed in Boston Motorcycle Crash

A local man has passed away after a motorcycle crash a little past midnight Saturday.

Kieran Boyle, 23, of Norwood, was declared dead at the scene after state police responded to a report of a crash on Route 93 North in the O’Neil Tunnel.

A preliminary investigation from the Massachusetts State Police indicates that Boyle was traveling northbound in the tunnel on a 2013 Yamaha R6 when he lost control of the motorcycle, causing him to crash and ultimately strike the concrete barrier adjacent to the roadway. Boyle sustained fatal injuries as a result of the impact.

While the incident remains under investigation, police believe that speed was a factor.

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and a trooper assigned to District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office are assisting with the investigation. Also assisting on scene were members of Boston Fire and EMS and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
