Norwood Man Killed By Train Identified
An extra Commuter Rail train headed towards Boston for the Patriots parade struck and killed the Norwood man.

NORWOOD, MA — The 68-year-old man who was struck and killed by an inbound Commuter Rail train near Norwood Depot Tuesday morning was identified.
The Norfolk district county attorney's office identified the man as Steven Inchierca, of Norwood.
Inchierca was struck around 8:13 a.m. by an extra Franklin Line train heading to Boston, where more than a million people gathered for the Patriots parade. Inchiera was a frequent rider of the Commuter Rail and typically knew exactly when trains would stop or pass through Norwood Depot without stopping, neighbors told the Boston Globe. Investigators believe Inchierca was trying to catch a train towards Boston when he was struck. David Traub, a spokesman for the Norfolk district attorney's office, told the Boston Globe the death seems to be accidental.
