Norwood Man Used Accounting Firm Data to Commit Fraud: Police
Daniel Arnold faces charges in Framingham District Court.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Norwood man faces charges after accusations that he used stolen information to open accounts at stores in Natick and Framingham, police said.
Daniel Arnold, 28, was recently arraigned in Framingham District Court on charges of credit card fraud of more than $250, receiving stolen property worth more than $250 and two counts each of credit card theft of less than $250 and receiving stolen property worth less than $250 from the Framingham Police Department and three counts of larceny of more than $250, two counts of conspiracy and forgery from the Natick Police Department, according to the Metrowest Daily News.
Authorites say the information came from a data breach at a Boston accounting firm. Arnold allegedy used information from the breach to commit crimes in Braintree, Newton, Framingham and Natick.

Arnold's lawyer, Bob Costello, called the case weak.
Arnold is free on personal recognizance. He is due back in court May 9.
