Norwood Offers Extension To Curbside Leaf Pickup Service
You still have a little time for the town to take your leaves.

NORWOOD, MA — If you haven't get gotten around to picking up the leaves in your backyard, don't worry. You still have a little time.
The Department of Public Works' curbside leaf pickup service has been extended into December. Dec. 14 is the new deadline for folks to have their leaves picked up.
With a resident sticker, you also have the option to drop off yard waste at the Winter Street Composting Facility on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Please keep the following rules in mind before putting your leaves out front:
- Paper leaf bags only - no plastic bags, barrels or other containers
- 50 lbs. maximum weight
- No dirt, sand, sod, rocks or brush
- No rubbish or building materials
- Please keep the bags dry
- Only leaf bags manufactured specifically for leaf collection purposes will be picked up. The bags are readily available at most hardware stores, home centers, garden shops, supermarkets and at many other outlets. The Public Works Department no longer sells leaf bags.
- Brush shall be limited to four tied bundles, four feet in length and manageable enough for one person to load onto the trucks. Do not use metal wire to tie the bundles. Metal wire destroys the grinding machine.
