Norwood Patch High School Sports Scoreboard: Walpole Edges Boys' Lacrosse

GIRLS LACROSSE

Norwood lost to Canton, 16-15, Monday. Shelia Carroll had a big day in net for the Mustangs with 11 saves, while Allison Ryan had eight goals and two assists. Brittany Sullivan and Kacie Smith added two goals apiece, while Smith also had three assists. Maura O'Neil, Sammy Hayes and Kelsey Colbert each had a goal.

BOYS LACROSSE

The Newton North beat Norwood, 10-4, Thursday, falling to 3-8 in the Bay State League and 3-14 overall. James Flynn made 16 saves, while Emmett McNamara had a goal and assist. Newton North was up 4-1 at the half, but they increased the lead to 6-1. The Mustangs got a strong defensive performance and some good looks offensively early.
