Norwood to Pay Snow and Ice Debt Over Three Years
It will take three years to pay off the $2.4 million debt.

It will take three years for Norwood to pay for the debt obtained from snow and ice removal last winter.
Town clerk and accountant Tom McQuaid told the Boston Globe that voters approved a plan at Special Town Meeting to address the $2.4 million debt. With $300,000 expected from FEMA, half of the remaining $2.1 million will be paid in this year’s budget and the remaining debt will be paid in fiscal years 2016 and 2017.
Initially, $475,000 was budgeted for the past winter.
