Norwood Police Accepting Halloween Costume Donations
The department will open its doors on Monday to the community and offer the donated costumes to young trick-or-treaters who don't have one.
NORWOOD, MA— Norwood police are making sure every kid can enjoy halloween, whether they can afford a costume or not. The department has been collecting halloween costumes from people in the community all month. This is the last weekend left to donate a costume.
Several costumes have started to fill the department's community room, with everything from strawberry costumes, store-bought superhero suits and handmade ghost costumes. The last day to donate costumes is Sunday — you can drop off costumes at the police department or in the Norwood library.
On Monday, the department will hold an event to let kids and their families choose a costume. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. families will be welcome to grab a costume and enjoy light refreshments and games.
