Norwood Police Log: 2nd OUI, Elaborate Prom Date Proposal, and More

October 7

8:01 p.m. - Multiple people reported a vehicle operating erratically. After the vehicle was located near Norwood Hospital on Washington Street, Owen Gallagher, 32, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense) and possession of an open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle.

9:03 p.m. - A group of teens getting in and out of cars near the intersection of Neponset Street and Jefferson Drive was reported. An officer confirmed that it was part of an elaborate plan by a student to ask someone out to the prom.

1:29 p.m. - A FedEx truck struck a wire on Ambemarle Road and caused it to hang low.
