Norwood Police Log: 2nd OUI, Foot Chase and Resisting Arrest, and More

November 26

7:37 p.m. - A smashed pumpkin was reported on Vernon Street.

9:21 p.m. - During a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington and Bond Streets, Fredy Roldan, 51, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and marked lanes violation.

11:11 p.m. - An employee on Broadway in Norwood told police that there were two teens possibly drinking alcohol in the bathroom and vandalized a sign. After fleeing, they were located on Lenox Street and taken into protective custody.

12:44 a.m. - A caller reported a man throwing tables outside of Limey’s Pub on Washington Street. After numerous people became involved and the crowd interfered with the police’s attempt to make an arrest, mutual aid was requested from Westwood and Walpole officers. Following a foot chase on Day Street, Joseph McPhee, 25, of Bellingham, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and an ordinance violation; Brian Duffy, 29, of Brockton, was charged with disorderly conduct, ordinance violation, and malicious destruction of property over $250; and Michael Weckbacher, 36, of Norwood, was charged with disorderly conduct, ordinance violation, and resisting arrest.
