Norwood Police Log: Assault, 2nd OUI, and More

November 23

10:38 a.m. - A check of a male who was hitting a dumpster and looking into windows of parked cars at the municipal lot on Nahatan Street was reported. The man was located on Day Street and he told police that he was upset over a missing urn of his mother’s pet.

November 24

3:06 a.m. - A caller on Walpole Street told police that his friend was assaulted by a man in a blue pickup truck. The caller took his friend to the hospital.

9:21 p.m. - Following a crash near the intersection of Route 1 and Sumner Street, Eduardo Ayon, 23, of Thermal, Calif., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to use care while stopping/starting/turning/backing on a state highway.

11:39 p.m. - Christy Cote, 35, of Norwood, was arrested on Cross Street on a warrant.
