Norwood Police Log: Aug. 4-5

Highlights from the daily police log.

Thursday, Aug. 4

10:33 a.m. - Police receive a call that the traffic lights were suck on red at the intersection of Upland Road and Investors Way. It turns out they were functioning properly. 

12:36 p.m. - Caller at Morrill Memorial Library reported someone hitting the back fence and leaving the scene in a blue sedan. Police filed a report.

3:42 p.m. - Caller at Elks on Winslow Avenue reported a kid riding his bike in the parking lot and later showed other kids a pocket knife. Officers were sent to inspect the incident.

10:50 p.m. - Resident on Nichols Street reported a crash into a water hydrant. The Norwood Fire Department responded and an officer stoodby until the Water Department was able to shut off the hydrant.

Friday, Aug. 5

5:17 a.m. - Caller on Washington Street reported two youths running down the middle of the road. Another caller reported the same. An officer spotted the kids near the Balch and other officers checked the area.
