Norwood Police Log: August 11-12

Highlights from the daily police log.

Thursday, Aug. 11:

6:35 a.m. - Caller on Pendergast Circle reported a large piece of vehicle exhaust system in the roadway.

2:13 p.m. - A resident reported grafitti to Shaw's plaza on Nahatan Street. A report was filed.

6:09 p.m. - Caller at Norwood Central reported a male party in a silver sedan approached two 15-year-old females and requested they enter his vehicle. A "be on the lookout" was sent to all patrolling officers and they checked the area. 

6:54 p.m. - Caller at the intersection of Neponset and Dean streets reported a driver struck a sign and drove off. Mansfield Police were notified and the subject was located.

10:09 p.m. - Resident at Epic Source on Cedar Street reported neighbors yelling. The responding officer reported people left prior to arrival and the resident will keep quiet.

Friday, Aug. 12:

12:44 a.m. - Caller at Pizzas Galore on Washington Street reported a hispanic male, wearing a blue shirt and jeans attempting to kick a door in. Officers responded to the incident and it appeared to be unfounded — there was no evidence of an attempted break in.

1:18 a.m. - An officer reported something lying under a bridge on Cedar Street. The officer reported it to be a vehicle part.
