Norwood Police Log: August 3-4

Highlights from the daily police log.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

7:35 a.m. - Construction worker at an empty mini mall on Boston-Providence Highway reported an attempted breaking and entering and illegal dumping on the site. An officer filed a report.

10:44 a.m. - Police receive a report of traffic lights malfunctioning at the intersection of Nichols and Winter streets. The lights since corrected themselves.

2:46 p.m. - A report was filed about a shoplifting incident at CVS Pharmacy on Nahatan Street. A white male driver in a gray Honda — license plate MA 153HL3 — drove off with a female shoplifter who took cosmetics.

4:52 p.m. - Caller on Jefferson Drive reported a group of girls arguing. Officers spoke with the party involved.

7:25 p.m. - Resident of Eisenhower Road walked into the Norwood Police Department and complained about his neighbor placing mulch on his property. It was alleged that the neighbor says it's her land even though there is a surveyor's stake in the ground. The resident was directed to the Town Engineer's Office.

Thursday, Aug. 4

12:28 a.m. - Police did a building check of Town Hall.

No other incidents were noted in Thursday's report as of yet.
