Norwood Police Log: Drugged Driving, Stolen Beer, and More

July 30

12:22 a.m. - Dedham Police received a call from a driver that observed a vehicle strike a guardrail and continue down Route 1 South. The driver struck another guardrail near Jake and Joe’s and was stopped at the top of Pendergast Circle. The driver, Michael Noonan, 39, of Readville, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drug, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation.

9:38 p.m. - Broadway Package Store on Broadway reported a male who stole a 30 pack of beer.

July 31

5:22 p.m. - A resident near Plimpton Park head a crashing sound and saw a group of kids in the area. An officer reported that they were building a fort out of scrap metal. They were sent on their way.

August 1

8:37 p.m. - Kids on the common told police that they were being harassed by a small red sedan with an intercom system. The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.
