Norwood Police Log: A Lewd Act, Resisting Arrest, and More

November 3

8:38 p.m. - A caller reported a man performing a lewd act in his car near T.J. Maxx on Nahatan Street. Police were unable to find a vehicle.

9:35 p.m. - A summons was issued at Stop and Shop on Route 1.

November 4

7:42 a.m. - A caller on Belmont Street reported a man climbing in a side window on the bottom right side of a house. The caller was located and spoken with for more information.

10:32 p.m. - Following a traffic stop at the intersection of Chapel and Cedar Streets, Andrew Pierce, 34, of North Bennington, Vt., was arrested and charged with failure to stop/yield, speeding, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and possession of a Class B drug. Pierce also had an active warrant.

10:42 p.m. - A caller at McDonald’s on Broadway Street reported a man who was suffering from a stab wound on his head. After police responded a 17-year-old was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery, and assault and battery.

10: 53 p.m. - Following a car crash on Rock Street, a 17-year-old received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

November 6

11:01 a.m. - Anthony Young, 36, of Norwood, was arrested at the intersection of Prospect and Pine Streets and charged with resisting arrest. Young also had three active warrants.
