Norwood Police Log: OUI, Drug Possession, a Suspicious Costume, and More

November 1

4:04 p.m. - Following a car crash at the intersection of Route 1 and University Avenue, Lisa Coffey, 53, of Jamaica Plains, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and failure to stop/yield.

November 2

9:53 a.m. - A campaigner at Town Hall was reportedly stepping in the street and preventing people from entering the building. An officer at the scene spoke to the person and said he was on the sidewalk and not blocking anyone.

1:57 p.m. - Michael Gilmore Jr., 32, of Norfolk, was arrested at the Norwood Depot Train Station on a warrant.

7:21 p.m. - A caller reported an injured and unwanted person at her home. The person was taken into protective custody.

9:45 p.m. - A caller reported a man wearing a wig, old man mask, and tan jacket near Nahatan and Rock Streets.


November 3

1:50 p.m. - Police observed a person possibly checking out vehicles at the Norwood Central train station before speeding away. Following a traffic stop on Broadway Street, two people were arrested. Graham Gatley, 26, of South Boston, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and possession of Class B and C drugs and Christian Irving, 37, of Norwood, was charged with possession of a Class B drug.
