Norwood Police Log: OUI, Skimming Machine Discovered, and More

September 20
6:13 a.m. - A caller complained about noise coming from behind Workout World on Route 1. Police responded and heard no music.
7:56 a.m. - Three syringes were found on a pathway off of Vanderbilt Avenue. They were properly disposed of.

8:57 a.m. - A nurse at the Willett School on Westover Parkway reported a possible drunk person. The person was transported to the hospital.
4:25 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Route 1, Eddyn Baez, 29, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop/yield.

7:04 p.m. - An out of control party was reported at the Willett School on Westover Parkway. The person was placed in protective custody and taken to the hospital.
September 21
11:00 a.m. - A skimming machine was found on a gas tank at Mobil Gas on Washington Street.
September 22
3:27 a.m. - A caller at the intersection of Highland Street and Oak Road told police that a vehicle just drove up on a neighbor’s lawn. After police arrived, Robert Johnston, 21, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, and a marked lanes violation.
September 23
1:31 p.m. - A shoplifting suspect at Stop & Shop on Route 1 fled in a silver Ford
3:36 p.m. - Kids playing football in the parking lot of Dellaria Salon on Broadway was reported. They were gone by the time police arrived.
5:56 p.m. - An adolescent riding a motorized scooter in the middle of Mill Pond Lane was reported. The child and parent were spoken to.
