Norwood Police Log: Stolen Truck, Fight on Broadway, and More

October 14

8:07 a.m. - A seagull with a broken wing was reported in parking lot near Stop and Shop on Route 1. Norwood Animal Hospital reported that someone brought it there.

3:32 p.m. - A person on Adams Street returned home from the hospital and found another person living there. An officer reported that here was an agreement made to allow the subject to stay in the unit until the resident returned

3:42 p.m. - A caller reported kids fighting near Spot on Broadway. The kids were gone upon police arrival.

6:52 p.m. - A man sleeping in a field at the Oldham School on Prospect Street was reported. The person was sent on his way.

October 15

2:03 p.m. - During a traffic stop at the intersection of Walpole and Wilson Streets, Craig Marchand, 42, of Norwood, was arrested on a warrant and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense).

5:03 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Hillsire Lane, a 17-year-old received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

5:19 p.m. - A stolen truck was reported on East Monroe Street.
