Norwood Police Warn of Grandparent Scams
Hoaxers are calling elderly Norwood residents pretending to be their grandchildren asking for money.

Norwood Police are urging residents to be careful in light of several recent incidents of scam phone calls.
The calls, police say, are to older Norwood residents from people pretending to be their grandchildren. The callers tell the victims they are in trouble and need money to bail them out of a rough situation.
Some victims have wired money in an effort to help out their "grandchildren," police say.
