Norwood's Gorman Pitches Against Boston Red Sox

A freshman at Boston College, Norwood's John Gorman pitched two innings of relief against the Boston Red Sox Saturday night in Florida.

Norwood's John Gorman had the opportunity of a lifetime Saturday night at JetBlue Park at Fenway South at Fort Myers, FL.

The Boston College freshman righthander pitched the fourth and fifth innings against the Boston Red Sox in the team's annual exhibition game against the major league club.

Gorman, who was drafted in the 50th round by the Boston Red Sox last year after a standout career at Catholic Memorial, gave up four hits, including a double to Mike Avilies, two runs and struck out a batter in two innings.
